Homestead Statement of Significance: Point Cook Homestead, is a large, rambling bluestone house built in stages for pastorialist Thomas Chirnside, from probably 1850 onwards. Each wing dates from a different period. Single-storied, the homestead is constructed with bluestone walls, although some portions are timber, and slate roofs.
